Central State Scientific and Technical Archive of Ukraine (TsDNTA of Ukraine)

The Central State Scientific and Technical Archive of Ukraine is a state archival institution whose holdings preserve a significant body of documents generated by the activities of leading research, design, and engineering-technological organizations and design bureaus, including projects of Crimean enterprises, health resorts, and railway infrastructure facilities.

Overview

TsDNTA of Ukraine is the custodian institution of design and engineering documentation. Part of its holdings is devoted to projects developed with the participation of Ukrainian design institutions and implemented in Crimea. In particular, based on these materials, the infrastructure projects of the Sevastopol railway junction, the sanatorium-resort complexes of Mishkhor, Alushta, Yalta, and others are described.

As of the time of publication, only about one third of the design and engineering-technological projects have been digitized; the lion's share of TsDNTA of Ukraine's archival materials (thousands of storage units) await digitization. Among the non-digitized complexes are: the Crimean Soda Plant (Krasnoperekopsk), the Kamyshlovsky Viaduct (981st km of the "Pavlohrad – Sevastopol" line), a complex of sanatorium-type pioneer camps (Yevpatoria), an experimental production plant for breeding marine fish, the Krasnoperekopsk highly-mechanized commercial fish farm, the pilot-industrial magnesium oxide shop, and the Simferopol City Dairy Plant.
