Crimean Tatar political and public figure, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, people's deputy of Ukraine of the VIII convocation.

Overview

Refat Chubarov is one of the leaders of the Crimean Tatar national movement and a consistent fighter for the de-occupation of the Crimean peninsula and the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity.

In his speech at the round table "Crimea is Ukraine. Documentary Evidence in the Archives of Ukraine" (February 15, 2019), he emphasized the need to systematically enrich the state archives of Ukraine with new documents on the history of Crimea and the Crimean Tatar people.
