Central State Archive of Public Associations of Ukraine (TsDAHO of Ukraine)

A central state archival institution of Ukraine that preserves mass documents of the modern history of Ukraine, political parties, public organizations, and bodies of the Soviet era, including key sources on the history of Crimea in the 20th–21st centuries.

Overview

TsDAHO of Ukraine (under the leadership of director Oleksandr Bazhan) acted as the initiator and organizer of the round table "Crimea is Ukraine: Documentary Evidence in the Archives of Ukraine" (February 15, 2019) and published the eponymous scholarly documentary collection.

The archive's documentary holdings cover three main periods of the history of Crimea: 1918–1953 (Soviet construction, the armed forces, the partisan movement, the deportation), 1954–1991 (the transfer of Crimea to the UkrSSR in 1954, the reconstruction of the economy and social infrastructure), and the period of Ukraine's independence from 1991 (documents of modern political parties and public associations).
