Archbishop Klyment (Kushch)

Hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyivan Patriarchate (later the Orthodox Church of Ukraine), Metropolitan of Simferopol and Crimea, chaplain of the Crimean district of the NSOU "Plast", human rights activist and public figure.

Overview

Archbishop Klyment (Pavlo Mykolaiovych Kushch) is a leading religious and public figure of Crimea who headed the Simferopol and Crimean Eparchy of the UOC KP (later the OCU) for many years. He acted as a patron and pastor of Ukrainian civic and children's and youth initiatives in Crimea, in particular serving as chaplain of the Crimean district of the NSOU "Plast". In the summer of 2013, he held a prayer service for the participants of the summer local-history and educational Plast camp "Kniazivstvo Feodoro" (Principality of Theodoro) near the cave city of Eski-Kermen.
