Gabriel Ter-Mikelyan — a prominent Armenian architect who worked for a long time in Baku, fulfilling commissions for famous oil industrialists, in particular Pogos Ter-Hukasyan. He is the author of the design of the Church of Saint Hripsime in Yalta — one of the most famous sacral monuments of Crimea.

- Design of the Church of Saint Hripsime in Yalta: The architect based his work on a sketch of the eponymous legendary 7th-century Armenian temple in Etchmiadzin. Having creatively reworked it, Ter-Mikelyan created a unique structure that resembles the ancient shrine in its outlines but is a one-of-a-kind creation of modern architecture.
