Oleksandr Hubar¶
A Ukrainian educator, publicist, literary scholar, expert on Pavlo Tychyna, and professor at the Tavriya National University. One of the key researchers of the cultural connections between Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar literatures.
Overview¶
Oleksandr Ivanovych Hubar (1932–2003) devoted a significant part of his scholarly career to the study of the life and work of Pavlo Tychyna, whom he knew personally. A distinctive direction of his research was illuminating Tychyna's ties with Crimea and the Crimean Tatar literary milieu of the 1920s. His works recovered from oblivion the facts of the mutual influence of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar writers.
